I'd like to get a discussion going about car covers.  I've had a
"Technalon/Evolution 3" cover for my Porsche 914 for the past 9 years. 
Advantages:  Cushy ding protection, held up pretty well, kept car clean. 
Main disadvantage is bulk.  It would probably fill up the trunk of my
(newly purchased white '91) Miata.

Does anyone have experience with cotton or polycotton covers?  I use a
cover in my garage and in the parking lot at work, mostly to keep the car
clean and to keep the sun off it.  How do the various covers hold up?  How
much valuable trunk space do they take up?....
