It's a little embarrassing to say, but I use a $30 WalMart special on
my silver '91. Here in sunny Florida, a car cover is an absolute must
as far as I'm concerned. I'm on my second one (the first lasted over
three years on my Camaro) now; it's thin material, so it rolls up nicely
and fits in the vulnerable area on the driver's side of the trunk.

I use it daily unless it's obvious that it'll be raining shortly. In 
fact, the only time my car isn't either under the cover or garaged is
if I'm under way or it's raining.
