The other day I saw a blue Miata with the portion of the car below the beltline painted flat charcoal grey. Behind the rear wheels, the grey angled up to the deck lid and across where the third brake light is. To each their own I guess. I saw the baby blue Miata at Indy and talked to the owner (from Dallas) he said that his dream was a baby blue 57 T-bird. So he had his brand new white Miata painted to baby blue. The car actually looks ok. I think it has real chrome spoke wheels and this sets off the car. Another member of the Lonestar Miata Chapter recently painted his car dark teal metallic. I saw it when the paint was fresh and do not think it had been rubbed out yet. It had a lot of orange peal and was kind of dull. It may look good when done. I also saw the blue Miata with the wide white stripes that was recently on the cover of Miata Mag. I kept the red top off my first Miata and at Christmas put it on my BRG. This was a great conversation starter! Now it is green. Concerning lights: I was at a honda dealer the other day and saw the factory fog lights for the Prelude. Very compact with obout a 2 inch diameter and a depth of maybe 4 inches. Brackets would need to be made but the size makes me think they would be ideal for the mouth. should not restrict air flow as much as some of the other offerings. Did not get prices. honda parts are pricey. Eric Fancher Tejas Miatas Austin, Texas
