Thomas Tkacik says: I have a question to those who use car covers frequently. Do you always remove the antenna before putting on the car cover, do you have a power antenna that is down, or do you simply throw the car cover over the antenna? Removing the antenna seems a pain. Buying a power antenna seems costly. Throwing the car cover on the antenna seems a good way to ruin it. The cheapie I bought has a reinforcement patch to glue to the cover once you cut a hole for the antenna. My first cover eventually ripped there; my second one won't because I remove the antenna. Panama City doesn't have much in the way of good music stations, so I listen to my CDs through a CD-cassette adapter and leave the antenna off most of the time. When I do, it only takes about 5sec to unscrew the antenna, but then I don't have the stock one, I've got what's called (around here, anyway) a rubber duckie (ducky? duckey??), about 10in long black rubber antenna. -- Jim (moore@email.ncsc.navy.mil) I do not undersand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.
