Seemed like a good deal, > really. ALL emmissions control parts are covered by a 5 year/50k mile warranty MANDATED by the federal government. On catalytic converters, this warranty covers the casing, the heat shield, and the substrate. This 5yr/ 50k mile warranty also applies to almost anything connected with the emmissions systems, including the oxygen sensor, the engine management unit, and other related goodies. If you're having idle problems (I think that was somebody else though), I'd certainly read the fine print in the FEDERAL emmissions control warranty information brochure, usually available at the parts counter. The dealer won't be happy about doing the work, but they're tangling with the EPA and the DOT if they don't. Steve
