Thanks to those who replied. I checked on the way home last night:

5th gear @ 3000 = 61 - 62 mph
5th gear @ 3500 = 66 - 67 mph

This is with stock wheels and tires ( and everything else, for that matter).

Based on the feedback I got, this looks fine. It just means that
everyone cruising up
I-270 in the morning must be in a real hurry to get to work.
