A bit off the subject perhaps, but... once I had a 1979 Prelude on which the speedometer and tach were coaxial. You read them like a clock: the short hand was the speedometer, and the long hand was the tach. The angle between the hands indicated which gear you were in. I really liked this setup, but I've never seen it on any other car, including later model (1980+) Preludes. Alas this car was totaled in 1984.
