Subject: High Pitch Hissing

I have a '91 Special Edition Miata with about 28k miles.  I have been hearing a high pitched hissing at about 4000 rpm's (any gear) and higher.  Does anyone
know what this is (maybe the belts)?  BTW, I am not loosing any power when
hearing this noise and happens with the ac on and off.
