I hear a lot of discussion about driving schools on this list; e.g.
"you should spend money on skills, not JUST mods",
"a skilled driver can be happy and safe without ABS",
"my grandmother is a racer and she can outbrake your ABS", etc...

SO, at the risk of asking a FAQ, can someone recommend a good
school/program/workshop?
( This IS rec.autocross, right?  :) )

I am living in the Bay Area (California) right now, but will be moving to
Illinois in a couple of months (Champaign-Urbana).

Any schools, addresses, books, or info would be greatly appreciated!
