This sounds like a *really* nice paint scheme to me.  I've always thought
that if I'd gotten a white Miata (which I never considered, have fallen in
love at first sight with the blue), I might have done the lower panels in
a darker color with a pinstripe in between, but never gave much thought to
what colors I might use.  I like it!
