Has anyone out there installed an aftermarket (driver's) seat in their car? I' ve got a roll bar in mine, and when I have my helmet on, it sticks up slightly above the bar. I can't get a higher bar without losing the ability to put the soft top up and down. I'd like to install some competition belts (5 pt.) but that's not a very good idea given the situation. Not to mention the fact that I'd have to slice up my stock seat to make a hole for the crotch belt. I'm also tired of getting bruises from bracing myself against the door panel and seat back. I have a permanent bruise (going on a year now) on the mid-outside part of my back where the big metal frame in the stock seat has decided to burrow. I'd like to know if there are any competion/aftermarket seats available which lower the driver's seating position a couple of inches. If so, I could get one and the belts and feel a lot better about blasting around on the track. Anybody have direct experience with a Sparco, Corbeau, etc. racing seats? The key here is reduced butt-height, pardon the expression. I don't want to get a new seat if it won't allow me to use the belts. And I can't use the belts if I don't reduce my head height. Any insight will be geatly appreciated. -Al
