That sounds like a different problem; my leak was between the soft
top weatherstrip and the side windows.  (It might be the same
adjustment, though.)  I didn't see the technician do the work-- job
security! :-)

The Helm manual for my '93 has a procedure for adjusting the top
seal, though.  I'll look when I get home and see if it also has one
that would help your situation.
