Well, I've had my Miata (Yellow '92, purchaced new) for 2.5 days, and
it's already proving to be an excellent replacement for an MG--it's
been in the shop for a morning already, and is going back in on
Tuesday (the fuel injector needs a new dashpot to get the idle time
down to where it should be).  :-)

Actually, I am a little concerned about corrosion at both ends of the
rear axle (I found when putting on the locking nuts).  The repair guy
at the dealership said it was normal, and comes from shipping it
overseas.  He even pointed out some slight rust around the outside of
the brakes.  Is this for real, or should I insist that the corrosion
be removed and the metal treated?

Also, where is the manual gas tank release which the owners' manual
talks about?
