Hi Folks,
I just had a wierd thing happen this morning. I got into my car,
started the engine and then tried to turn on the radio - virtually nothing
happened. When I pushed the power button the radio display lit for an nth of a
second and the clock remained displayed. A cassette would load, but not play. I
did not have a CD to try that function. After I got to my destination I tried
again. Seems with the engine off the radio and cassette would work. If I left
the radio on and then started the car it would continue to work. However, if I
restarted the car with the radio off and then tried to turn it on the radio
would not work. All the fuses look good. Does this sound like dirty/faulty/
misaligned ignition switch contacts to you folks? If this continues over the
next day I'll take it to a dealer (if there is one in Rockford, IL). I'm
leaving Madsion around 11am CST tomorrow, so any responses after that won't be
received until Saturday. Thanks in advance for opinions.
