Yes, I had the same problem.  I also found the highest correlation
to be with humidity.  Fortunatly I figured it out just before
my warrantee ran out and the dealer replaced it.   My guess it
is a near short in the on/off relay circuit in the radio.  With
just enough moisture -- it shorts or signals a shut off.
