I can hear good tunes over the roar of the new Borla stainless
steel exhaust system I just installed!  Although now the Borla
sounds so cool, I turn down the stereo just to hear it backfire
when I lift off the throttle.  I'm a hopeless exhaust note
junkie.

Ahh, a Borla owner.  I've been thinking of adding the Borla exhaust
to my 1991 base model.  Couple of questions:

- Is the Borla system louder than the stock exhaust?  How would you
describe the sound in comparison with the stock exhaust buzz?

- Did you honestly notice any performance change?  In what way?

- How did you avoid shearing off the catalytic-convertor bolts in
installing the new exhaust?

- Why does it backfire?
