Perhaps in California this may be the case. Up here in the Great Northwest most
Miatas on the dealer lots don't have A/C. Also, since the A/C units are
installed by Mazda at the Port of Tacoma it's easy enough for the dealer to
just call the port and say "hold the A/C" on a car not yet delivered.

Personally I think that A/C is a waste on a Miata unless you live in Arizona or
someplace similar.

You mean you bought for $600 under dealer _invoice_ which is, of course, more
than the dealer cost because of yearly sales incentives, dealer rebates, etc.

Still a good deal though...
