Jason L Rahaim sez: Now, if we could take a 93 RX-7 engine and handling and put it in a Miata.... To which I respond: Bite your tongue, Jason. The new RX-7 is twitchy and quite unforgiving of the mediocre driver's errors. The Miata has the best balance and quickest turn-in of any stock car I've ever driven in twenty years of autocrossing. Another 100hp would be fun, sure, but not at the expence of the car's ace in the hole, it's overall drivability. And with respect to banging the rev limiter, don't get your panties in a bunch about it. I routinely bounce off of it, usually five or ten times each weekend I solo the car (well over 60 times in the past four years), and so does the wife on the weekends she decides to get out of bed and come cone hunting with me. That engine is *strong*! - Steve Bruun
