Yes, the Crutchfield harnesses are great for installing aftermarket head units. I used one in my previous car ('91 Honda Civic) and it made everything a snap. They used to sell them for under $10, but now I think they only give them to you with the purchase of a stereo; that's too bad. What I need is an in-line harness extender so I can tap into the speaker leads (to insert a power amp), so I can still use my factory head unit without cutting the factory wiring harness. Anyone know if something like this is available? You know, it seems like one could simply find out who the OEM for the stereo connectors is, order the parts, and construct a custom harness. Any idea how to go about this?
