From: gday@inde.bc.ca (Gordon Day) To: Mike RotherSubject: TEST OF INTAKE TEMPERATURE Mike, do you have any ideas on what sort of tubing could be used to run from the front of the airbox? Also, do you have any ideas on how the tubing could sealed tightly to the airbox? I hope to try something this weekend: A plastic, 2" electrical conduit coupling to attach to the airbox, and 2" plastic conduit for the tube. An alternative for the tube is 2" plastic hose extenders from the Shop Vac company. Sealing against the uneven surface of the airbox could be a trick. I found an appropriately-sized rubber washer (for a Mansfield toilet valve originally!) and hope it will work. Others have suggested silicone caulk. Plumbing supply shops and hardware stores carry a 2" rubber cap (with hose clamp), which perfectly seals off the stock airbox inlet.
