Both mine (manual, '92a) failed within 3 months of purchase. A friend just had his right-side fail as well. I wonder if there's a trend here? (maybe a bad run of regulators?) In all, I love my Miata, but I'm a little disappointed at Mazda's current quality control. I had the car back to the dealer four times within three months for things that shouldn't have happened, IMHO. I owned a '80 RX-7 (purchased new for $8,500!) that *never* went back for any warrantee work at all. -- James W.
