Somebody recently mentioned that adjustable shocks (Koni) allowed for a ride better than the stock shocks but could easily adjusted for more responsive handling. From what I can find, there are three brands of adjustable shocks (Koni, Tokico Illumina, and GAB). I think that there was a discussion about adjustable shocks over a year ago on the Miata list but I don't remember the thread of the discussion. I guess one critical point is the ease of adjustment. From what I remember, the Koni and Tokico shocks are adjusted by a nut at the top of the shock towers. Although it is easy to do in the front, adjusting the rears might require some removal of trunk contents or panels. I think that the GABs have an adjustment on the side of the shock which may be easier to adjust. Does anyone have any experience with these shocks? How easy are they to adjust, how reliable are they, and does the range of adjustment vary from softer than stock to firm for precise handling. Thanks, Herb Samuels
