I would like to know if anyone has made the low cost performance mods
made in past issues of Miata mag.  The mods I saw included advancing the
timing to about 14 degrees BTC, using Spitfire plugs, changing to a
better air filter, and perhaps a few other minor things.  I'd like to
know if anyone can comment from experience on these changes.

I am particularly interested in the timing change.  What are the disadvantages
of making this mod?

Any other suggestions would be welcome.
