If you advance the timing you will have to move to high octane gas to prevent engine knock. This is a pretty popular change on most vehicles, I know it is also really popular with Mustang 5.0 engines. On a related topic: What do these performance mods do to the economy? What would be good would be something that is roughly the same for sane driving and only starts hitting the mileage when you push it. The Jackson Cold Air kit looks like it might help in that respect. I saw the CAI advertised in the Summer Magazine, but they left off the price. Anyone know how much it costs and any other disadvantages to it? -- Matt Bennett hazmat@motor.arl.army.mil 92 Mazda Miata, Red 83 Yamaha Seca 550 --- Sold 79 Yamaha RD400F Daytona Special 81 BMW R100RS 72 Yamaha R5
