The grill is black with a rubber strip around it and has round holes. I think its the one advertised on the inside front cover of the magazine. Anyway, I have *no* adverse temperature effects. The needle runs the same with or without it, A/C on or off. As I stated earlier, the only time it climbs above the halfway point is on a 100 degree + day while idling in traffic with the A/C on. ******************************************************************** Gary J.
