>The recipe for what may be the least expensive Miata performance >improvement The only problem with these improvements is for autocrossers. Only the K&N filter is legal if you want to stay in stock class. For those of you who have asked about an SCCA address: Sports Car Club of America, Inc. 9033 East Easter Place Englewood, CO 80112 Phone: 303/694-SCCA For those of you who wanted info on the rollbars: There are two styles; a single "hoop" and a triangulated model. Both fit under the top, and both are solo II legal. The triangulated model bolts a plate to the front two bolts in the passenger seat track. The bar comes down into a receiver in that plate. This doesn't stiffen the car enough to be illegal in stock classes, but would stiffen up if the car were upside down, since the plate would hit the floor. The "street" model is about $150 and the "club sport" model is about $250. I've only had a few passengers complain about the bar coming into the passenger compartment, but they didn't mind it so much that they declined the ride. This is NOT legal for solo I or ProSolo because the rollbar is not 2" above your helmet, for one thing, and also not welded in. This is a 1/2-hour operation to install.
