The Jackson racing system is really flimsy, the intake is a cheap piece of molded plastic that cracks on the regular basis. Most Jackson Racing stuffs are way over priced in any case. Norm Garrett contacted Vantage to do this for the club's supercharger kit. Knowing Norm, I am certain that the solution will be well thought out, tested etc.. I believe they have their own dyno, or at least fairly extensive facility. I just thought the club should make the air duct available as a general item since there seems to be sufficient interest. With regard to pricing, none has been discussed, but I am sure it will be very inexpensive, the club offer most things at very reasonable prices (e.g. the shift knob for $20 instead of $50-$60, which by the way is fantastic). We will retain the stock headlight to keep the system simple, interestingly enough, with the headlight up, you actually get more cold air into the engine bay around the shroud. We have not thought much about the ducting to the air cleaner yet. I just hate the stock lights in their "up" (goal posts) position, so I may try to get PIAA headlights and see what we can do. approaches that are available (Millen, HKS, Jackson Racing) and except for Jackson they seem to be incomplete solutions to the problem. Jackson is to expensive in my mind for what they offer. - Steve.
