On the subject-
	I've been keeping a log of my feul since purchasing the car in 12/91.
With 39K now on the car, overall mpg is 29.6. My highest single tankful was
about 35.1 mpg (at 70mph going from mid-IL to KY, 80 degree day and about 60lbs
of clothes in the trunk). Lowest tankful was about 20mpg in the middle of
winter in WI doing lots of around town driving. Memorial Day weekend I drove up
the Blue Ridge Parkway/Skyline Drive. Speed limit was 45 & 35 respectively. I
tried to go only 10mph over the limits. I got gas about 20 miles before getting
on and about 50 miles after getting off the Parkway/Drive. I estimate my 
mileage was about 38-39 mpg on the slow roads (I drove real fast when not on
the slow roads to make up some lost time). I have not ever heard of anyone
getting 40mpg in the Miata, nice dream though! :-)
