However, if you are thinking of autocrossing on them, I can speak from experience about how soon you may be buying tires again. I got 15k out of my first set of D40 M2's because I chewed them up in slaloms (mostly pretty rough surfaces). When I got the second set I got some spare alloy wheels and racing tires. I don't feel as bad about wearing them out autocrossing; that's what I got them for so I consider them expendable (eventually). If you're worried about tire longevity for your street tires, you may want to consider others for autocross if you really get into it. Mike Simmons
