With 3 years approaching I'm getting paranoid about solving problems
with my car before the warranty expires. I have 2 current transmission
related queries, both of which resulted in NPF's from the dealer:

1) Shifting into 3d sometimes, but not always, invloves a metallic
   click, like marbles or ball bearings hitting each other. It's 
   pretty noticeable to me. Happens with no other gear.

2) In my garage, engine running in neutral. Diesel like ticking
   occurs when the clutch is engaged, goes away when the clutch is
   pressed in. Noticeable to those outside the car, and to me
   when the sounds echoes off a wall, like my garage.

Any ideas as to what these might be? Anything serious? I'd like
to better articulare these problems next time I visit the dealer.
