Tom-
	At Road America I was paying attention to my speeds in various gears,
what works best in which corners and where I need to float the top end of a gear
before shifting. Turn One was either very high at the top of 2 or the bottom
end of 3 (55-60 mph). 3rd gear got me up to ~80 mph. I *never* shifted into
5th ever (this was confirmed by the pro SSC drivers - they use 1-4, too). I did
get up to 105 (unless my speedo is off - which I plan on having checked as
soon as I get my first paycheck).
	In regard to local MD club activity: I heard from John Keating about
getting a copy of a newsletter, but nothing about tours or get togethers. I am
anxious to get a more cohesive group started.

John - has anyone gotten a logo for the 'chapter' yet? I've started working on
a few things and could probably get something in the mail to you next week if
you want.
