                                    Lifters
I assume that the brief clanking the engine makes when starting from cold is
due to the time it takes to fill the lifters with oil. Recently, on restarting
a warm engine (run for at least an hour at normal speeds), one or more of the
lifters clanked for a few seconds. I shut the engine off, restarted, and the
clanking has so far not reappeared. Is this somehting that I should worry
about, talk to the dealer about or just wait and see. The car is a '93 with
2000 miles on the odometer and the sump oil at full.
