i think it's important to re-emphasize this aspect.
the factory intake is a compromise that includes things we don't
always think about, and water avoidance is particularly important
if you want to avoid destroying your engine.

the stock location is high off the ground and well shielded from
rain and spray.  if you choose to modify or reroute yours, be sure
to keep this in mind...
