From: bbousman@zeus.muse.rockwell.com (Brian Bousman) Subject: front wheel spin Date: Mon, 13 Sep 1993 13:23:04 -0400
I was rotating the tires on my '90 Miata yesterday and I noticed something odd about the front wheel spin. I had the front wheel jacked off the ground in order to remove it and I happened to idly spin it and it seemed like it had a lot of resistance on the wheel and did not spin as far as I would have expected. I gave it a fairly hard spin and it did not turn through more than two full rotations before coming to a stop. I could hear what sounded like metal on metal friction while the wheel turned. Does anyone have any comments about this? I keep thinking the wheel should spin freely a lot more than that. -- Brian "Official Moving Company of Southern California" Bousman tigger@zeus.muse.rockwell.com --- Of course I don't speak for my company. If I did that they'd have to pay me a lot more money.
