Robert Holland says: What really irks me is when here in San Diego on an 80-85 degree beautiful sunny day, some jerk has his/her top up. The only time I have my top up is when I wash the car or it rains. Get too cold, I put on a jacket and turn on the heater. The car wasn't designed to be one that has a top that can be lowered. It was designed to an open car that has a top that can be raised! Agreed on all counts. I was in beautiful Mountain View CA last week visiting Cisco for training, and I noticed a very odd thing: there were many Miatas (and many other convertibles) and most of both had their tops down, but *no one* was driving with the windows down! It wasn't even chilly, it was 75F or so. This is the best time of the year to be in the FL panhandle: it's 60F or so in the mornings, 78F on the way home, the college punks are gone, the Canadians haven't begun clogging the roads, just local yokels in their pick-em-ups, easily avoided or passed. -- Jim (moore@email.ncsc.navy.mil) Retroactive taxes? How about a retroactive draft? Bill can have another opportunity to serve in Vietnam, and perhaps this time he'll even inhale.
