I've had the problem with the heat shield that covers the cat (i think).
Anyway, this shield is spot welded in two places. Once for each end of the
shield.  Both of these welds broke loose and the thing rattled very loud at
about 3700 rpm all the time.  I hate taking a car in to a dealer, even
under warrentee, so I heard from a net person about the hose clamp fix.
Sure as sh*t it worked great.  Easy to put on thru the drivers side wheel
well.  When putting the clamp on I noticed what a bad design this was.
They used clamps most of the time for these shields, but this location
looks like "opps, better spot weld this"    ---JCG.
