My car is a >1990 and is no longer under warranty. The zipper on the top of my Miata also broke there. At first I just took a cheap key ring with a small loop, and looped it through where the zipper handle attaches. That worked just fine. I was going to just leave it that way, (though maybe getting something nicer looking), but one day while at the dealer, I mentioned it to my mechanic, and he said that they could replace it. Turned out they replaced the entire zipper. I thought that that was a little much, but who was I to complain. :-) I suggest that you just get a small key ring and attach it. Then you can find a something nice to attach to the key ring for a handle. It should work very well, and not break again. Good luck. Tom Tkacik tkacik@adtaz.sps.mot.com
