Hello Folks, Anyone have any new info on when the MCM supercharger kit will be available ? I had heard around November 1. Any firm price data? How 'bout dyno-ed HP / torque numbers? -Al Are you refering to the Eaton Supercharger kit being developed by Norm Garrett under the MCA (Miata Club of America)? I don't have any facts other than what`s published in the Summer 93 issue, 150 HPs, with boost available from as low as 1200 rpms. Price is under $3K. I suspect their goal is to emulate the BBR turbo kit performance and reliability characteristics with slightly improved low end torque (no big deal since this is one of the BBR strength anyway, from about 1500 rpms), but more importantly with much less complexity in design and installation, fuel consumption may not be as good, but who really cares? Regarding when it will be available, the kit will include a NACA duct headlight cover replacement which is being developed and manufactured by Vantage Motorsports, here in Boston. Norm just placed an order this morning for delivery by Thanksgiving (end of November-93). So I expect the kit to be available shortly thereafter. I have the picture of the prototype duct, which I'll scan sometime next week and post the GIF to the net. The prototype is under testing right now by Norm and I'll post the results as soon as I get them.
