Subject: headrest speaker recommendations?

I just got a '91 pkg A, and want to add headrest speakers so that I can
hear the stereo top-down at speeds above a fast walk. Mazda wants ~$200
plus installation, while the Miata Club mag ads show some  Kenwoods at $99
and Clearwaters at $120.

Does anyone on this list have experience with the alternatives? And do I
need to spend more $ on additional amplification?
