Okay, okay I give! Top down windows up (TDWU) is _not_ the default
driving mode in sunny CA. Never realized so many list readers
live in/drive the Mountain View area; you got a nice place, folks.

Last time (and the only other time) I was in the area was to visit
Xerox PARC about five years ago; at the time I was driving a Renault
rental car and my colleague was hanging out the passenger window
leaving a barf streak down El Camino Real (sp?) because of the
intense pain of a kidney stone. This time I was the passenger in a
Chevy Caprice (gawd!), no vomit in sight. Not sure which time was
better, but the sheer prettiness of the area really struck me this
time.

Retroactive taxes? How about a retroactive draft? Bill can have another
opportunity to serve in Vietnam, and perhaps this time he'll even inhale.
