Anyone have any idea why the miata's 1.8l isn't as strong as the Protege 
motor?
(128hp@6500, 110 ft-lb@5000 compared to 114 ft-lb@4500, and only 1hp less)

Those of you who have seen the car, does it retain the same style intake 
manifold/plenum as the 1.6?  We still haven't seen any surface here.  
Finally, will ABS be available on the R1 cars (hope so!)
