Very nice invitation Mary, and thank you, but the name of your
organization reminds me of a story.  I suppose that you have heard
of the North Carolina Civil War Regiment that was so steadfast on 
the battle line that it appeared that their heels were stuck in tar...
and hence the name Tarheel.  Well Iheard it a different way.

In every little town in NC there is a very large pile of tires
(probably from all the Miatas doing xcrosses).  Now put on your
best NC accent and that hill of tires my friends is a real
TARHEEL!

Just joshin with ya Mary.  I know that there are some real civilized
folks down in NC (obviously!  there is a Miata Club isn't there!), I
just had to tell that story.  My dad lives outside Wilmington, NC
and we joke about it every time we go down there (we live in MD).
