Hello, everone,

Does anyone out there know if the word 'miata' means something.  Is it an abbreviation, a Japanese word, ... ?

The speedometer on my '93 miata gets shaky between ca. 80..100 km/h.  Did someone else experience this on his/her miata ?  What is it caused by ?  Is it easy to fix ?

I'm thinking about making my own steering wheel out of wood.  What kind of wood is normally being used for steering wheels ?  

Be carefull with cigarettes !
The first time that I tried to throw one away while driving with the top down, it flew right back in.
The other time, I was driving with the top on, and I just let my cigarette fly through the window.  When I stepped out of the car, I discovered that the cigarette had got stuck between the canvas of the soft top and the rubber strap (in the neighborhood of the bolt to attach the hard top).  Some damage to both the top and the rubber strap was done.  shame !
