Subject: 93 vs 94 To: miata@jhunix.hcf.jhu.edu (Miata List) Date: Sat, 23 Oct 93 16:34:59 EDT X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.3 PL2] Hi all, I kinda asked about this previously, but it would be nice to hear some comments now that I've actually been looking to buy the Miata. All the dealers I've visited have mentioned "about 2 weeks, or so" for the arrival of the 94's. They'd happily sell me a 93 though. I currently don't have any car, which means I'm renting one. Two extra weeks of wait would mean a good bit of money extra I'd have to spend on the rental car. This, combined with the fact that they'd probably be willing to give better deals on the leftover 93's than on a hotly arrived 94, makes me calculate that the 94 would probably end up costing me $2K-$2.5K more than the 93. While I though I wanted a 94, I begin to doubt if it's worth that much more? The extra hp would be great, but of course it's heavier. And while it's supposed to be more rigid, some mag (C&D?) mentioned it felt less so to them. While I'm still deciding which way I should go, it would be nice to hear some outside opinions; what would you do? Thanks! -- Jyri J.
