I've read lots of talk about people tinkering with Borla, Walker exhausts, I've had a Flowmaster on our Escort GT(1.8l Protege/miata engine)for over a year, and also on the family Civic (92-1.6l-105hp). The Escort dropped 0.4sec. from 0-60, and the Civic now outruns it! Call their tech line: 1-800-544-4761 : and be armed with pertinent engine data(displacement, max rpm, peak hp&torque etc) and they will come up with a suitable part#, as well as recommended exhaust dimensions and configurations. They come in 2-chamber(loud) and 3-chamber(mellow) versions. Both sound wonderful, deep and rumble-y down low, with a great top-end scream. Cheap: about $50 if you shop around. Durable: no fiberglass packing. Also they leave NO FLAT SPOTS in the torque curve. It's what we plan to use on our '94 R1 (Jan?Feb?) Thanks to Michael Butler/Brain Dore/Alan Dahl for all the great '94 model info. PS. I'm the one who tried my 15" wheels on Alan's car at Salina Stan Whitney Little Rock AR (waiting impatiently for a '94) 71763.644@compuserve.com
