My back window cracked(!) last winter during a slight drop in tempuratures
one night (down to about 13 F) when a neighbor's cat jumped on the window.
Now this might have been a big cat, but still, having to replace a nice clear
window because it was cracked, would really suck.  My window was already
showing signs of wear in the brown and scuffed department, being over 3 years
old at the time.
