It seems that with a little bit of shuffling, there might be enough room under the trunk to place a donut down there. Take a look next time you're under your Miata. Like someone else said, though, I've never had any real trouble putting stuff in the trunk (within reason of course...). It would still be nice to have the extra room. (Although where would I place all of the loose things that are currently stored in the donut hole?)
