From: Jeff Maurer Subject: Clearcoat scratches Date: Mon, 11 Oct 1993 11:49:27 -0400
I left my car in the driveway for a few hours this weekend, and the neighbor's cat, Monster, apparently jumped into the cockpit for a look around. Unfortunately in doing so Monster left scratch marks across the rear fender. Luckily it doesn't look/smell like he decided to leave his scent too... The scratches are in the clearcoat and I was able to polish half of them out with some safecut swirl remover. Question is, should I try to touch up what's left with clearcoat or leave it alone? The scratches are in the "wife couldn't find them until I told her where to look" category. Thanks, jdm ps - What a great car! True any time of year, but somehow these sunny fall days are just magic. _ / Jeff Maurer, Staff Analyst _ ___/ _ __ Service & Quality Apps, Sequent Computer Systems, Inc. / / / / / / Uucp: ...!uunet!sequent!jdm / /__/_/ / Internet: jdm@sequent.com __/ (503) 578-5062 "A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men."
