Hi Y'all, Just wanted to follow up on my post from October about re-routing the air intake on my miata to the cowling area. I did a little experiment to test the air pressure in that area. I got a six foot vacumm tube from an auto parts store and taped one end to the spot where the intake would be. I taped a balloon to the other end and hung it from the driver's visor so it could be seen easily. That balloon filled with air by the time I got to 30 mph! I squeezed the air out of the balloon and it filled right back up. Now I wouldn't call this conclusive proof that the air pressure in the cowling area is higher than ambient at speed because there are a couple of things I should have done for a control, but it looks promising. Will keep everybody posted. Thanks to Sandy, Jeff, Bob, Mike, and Gordon for your input. Rick Atlanta
