[My apologies to those people who get this message twice, I didn't notice that the orginal message was posted to the Miata list, not the auto-x list - Alan] Herb Samuels writes: > Previous posts by Alan Dahl and Michael Butler indicated that they were very > happy with their Motorsport Auto sway bar. No, the catalog is wrong, the bar is really 7/8", I measured it with a 7/8" wrench just to make sure after I read the catalog they shipped with the bar. I have no idea why the catalog is wrong. BTW: the Motorsport Auto bar is specially made for them and is not available through anyplace else. I suppose it's possible that all these bars are really metric sizes and Motorsport Auto rounded up to 15/16" while the other places rounded down, but my 7/8" wrench still fits over the bar and it's a very tight fit. No matter, though, it works and that's all that counts. At $189 for the front/rear set it's a bargain even if you just need the front bar (any suggestions for what to do with the rear bar?). Maybe if we got enough people to write/call them we could get them to sell just the front bar for us autocrossers? --- ___ __ ___ Alan Dahl | alan.dahl@mccaw.com -or- /_ / / / Analysts International Co. | adahl@axysdev.nwest.mccaw.com / / _/_ /___ 10655 N.E. 4th St. Suite 804 | (NeXTMail OK) Bellevue, WA 98004 | PH: (206) 803-4496 | FAX: (206) 803-4901
